Expeditie organisatie

De organisatie van de Himlung 2008 Expeditie wordt gecoördineerd door het Nederlandse Sponsortrek Nepal. Sponsortrek Nepal is een vrijwilligersorganisatie, die wandel- en trektochten organiseert. Tochtgenoten betalen hun eigen kosten in Nepal en na afloop van de trektocht wordt een Sponsorbijdrage gevraagd voor een ontwikkelingsproject. Deelnemers bezoeken een project zodat zij kunnen zien wat er met hun bijdrage gebeurt.
De organisatie in Nepal voor de Himlung 2008 Expeditie is in handen van Iceland Trekking, een van de beste trekking organisaties in Nepal.
Deze organisatie heeft veel ervaring met het organiseren van dit soort expedities en waren zelfs al tweemaal succesvol op de Himlung.

The organization of the Himlung 2008 Expedition is coordinated by Sponsortrek Nepal, a Dutch initiative. Sponsortrek Nepal is a voluntary organization who organizes expeditions and treks. Participants pay their own costs in Nepal and after the expedition a sponsor amount is asked for a development project. Participants visit a project so they can see what is happening to their contribution.
The organization in Nepal for the Himlung 2008 Expedition is in the hands of Iceland Trekking, one of the best trekking organizations in Nepal. This organization has considerable experience in organizing this kind of expeditions and had two successfull expedition to the Himlung earlier.
