Nog wat extra info van de overige expedities op de Himlung. De Basken hebben 2 dagen voor ons de top gehaald met twee man. Ze gingen met 4, maar twee zijn er eerder terug gekeerd naar C2 waar wij toen zaten. Ze stonden om 1600 uur op de top en zijn bij maanlicht omlaag naar C3 gekomen. De 2 NL-ers: een van hun heeft de top gehaald en alles is OK met ze. De toppoging had voor hun 18 uur geduurd(!) Inmiddels is bij ons duidelijk geworden dat een aantal dragers alweer weg gaan om een andere expeditie mee te ondersteunen, en dat ons eten begint op te raken. Geen nood 1 + 1 = 2: voldoende lodges nog onderweg naar Kathmandu en wij keren dan ook in stijl terug.Some extra information about the other expeditions on Himlung. The Basks summitted 2 days ahead of us with 2 people. They started the attempt with 4, buth 2 returned to C2, where we were at that moment. At 16.00 hour the other two summitted and in the light of the moon they returned to C3. One of the 2 Dutch people summitted and everything seems to be fine. But we don't know the latest news: sometimes you can notice frozen fingers or toes when you are lower on the mountain. Maybe later. We hope everything is ok with them although it took them some time (18 hours) to get to the top and back. At this time we know we head back for Kathmandy in style. Some of our porters left for another expedition and we are running out of food, no worries, enough nice lodges on our way to Katmandu. :)
